[BATON ROUGE, LA]—LSU Museum of Art announces its 10th Annual Fourth of July Celebration “Red, White & the BLUES,” Friday, July 4, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. The event takes place at Tsunami on the sixth floor of the Shaw Center for the Arts and features live jazz, soul, blues and funk from Quiana Lynell. Guest can enjoy southern BBQ with a nouvelle twist along with soft drinks, beer, wine and well brand alcohol. The fireworks over the Mississippi River take place at 9 p.m.
Tickets are $125 Museum members; $150 non-members; $50 ages five – 20; four and under free. Purchase tickets by calling 225-389-7210 or on line at www.eventbrite.com. Cost includes admission to the LSU Museum of Art from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. to tour The Visual Blues exhibition. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible and goes toward supporting the Museum.
This is a rain or shine event. Tickets are non-refundable and all ticket sales are final.
LSU Museum of Art is located in Downtown Baton Rouge at 100 Lafayette Street on the fifth floor of the Shaw Center for the Arts. General admission is $5 each for adults and children age 13 and over. Admission is free to university faculty, staff, and students with ID, children age 12 and under, and museum members.
