Shaw Center for the Arts is located at 100 Lafayette Street, and borders North Boulevard, Third Street and Convention Street. We are one block east of River Road and one block north of the Old State Capitol. The Louisiana Arts and Science Museum (LASM), USS Kidd, Baton Rouge River Center, Sheraton Hotel, BR Hilton Hotel and many other local attractions are all within walking distance of Shaw Center.
Head West on I-10 and follow signs to I-110 North / Downtown Baton Rouge. Exit at Convention Street (the first left Exit), exit 1-B. At the bottom of the exit ramp, continue on Convention Street for six (6) blocks until you reach Third Street. Parking is available in the public garage at the corner of Third and Convention Streets or along the streets surrounding the building. Shaw Center can be entered through the plaza on Lafayette Street near the LSU Museum of Art marquee or from Third Street, near the Manship Theatre marquee.
After crossing the Mississippi River Bridge, take exit 155B to I-110 North to Downtown Baton Rouge / Business District. Exit at Convention Street (the first left Exit), exit 1-B. Take exit 1H, Laurel Street (a Left Exit). This exit curves to the right under the interstate. Continue straight on Laurel for five (5) blocks, until you reach Fourth Street. Take a left on Fourth Street and go one block to Convention Street. Turn right and go one block to Third Street.
